  • An update on my exciting life

Well it's only been like 500 years since I updated this thing! Since last summer I have done many different exciting (and not so exciting) things. Here's a random list of things I did or things that have happened to me in the last year. Went to camp (last summer), met a guy, he was a stalker, hid from him, got rid of him, shot a bow and arrow and hit the target the first time (no the stalker was not the target!), rode around in a golf cart with my cousin while we sang with our ipods at the top of our lungs, got my cat back (she was got in a fight and was blind in one eye temporarily and she had to get fixed), went to a baseball game, got together with some old friends and had a great time together, went back to college, cleaned the college, made a humongous tape ball, worked at a rodeo until my feet were falling off, made some new friends, made tons of videos, rode a mattress during camp week, survived a flood in Indiana, joined First Baptist Church, worked at Ladies Spectacular, learned how to use InDesign, gave lots of speeches, took days off of work to do homework and take pictures, stayed at college for Thanksgiving, got sick from the green bean casserole, got a hair cut, decorated a midget tree by myself, went to Tiebel's for a Christmas party, decorated dorm door (which took forever) and lost the contest, got out early one day for Christmas break because of a storm, stayed at the college for Christmas break, spent the night at the Hooker family's house, built a gingerbread house with my friend, bought a new camera, got awesome Christmas gifts from my parents, called rude people at Americall, got kicked off the phone for not having sales, walked to Wendy's from church, took finals and passed them all, went on a date and embarrassed myself, learned how to make good videos, got one of the worst classes I've ever had, went to a concert at the church called "This Little Light of Mine" (with some of my friends singing in it), ate some cake, had to get camera repaired, got a used phone charger from a friend after mine died, ate a lot of cake, found my preacher's brick at the college and took a picture of it, hung out at the ladies parlor at church, made people on the bus at me mad because my music was "too loud", went to all of Pastor's School, worked at Pastor's School, got 3 new CD's ate baby food, enjoyed it, bought some for myself, went soul winning every weekend, woke up on my birthday, got hair curled, got breakfast brought to me, got lots of gifts, crammed my fridge with gifts, went to Olive Garden, got a cake from my friend, got awesome gifts from my parents one of which I wore on my birthday, wore my other gift on Easter, stayed for Spring Break, got 2 Dr. Peppers after only paying for one because the machine was "ghetto" because it was on my dorm floor, made fun of Cathy's chickens while living on "The Ghetto Dorm Floor" (Jones 1), threw bread at the "chickens" and fish, took a day off to take pictures and go to the mall to receive a late birthday gift, saw a garbage can with a sign on it that said "This is not a garbage can", got my ear pierced which caused me to almost pass out, got my other ear pierced the next week, tortured the geese, saw baby geese, saw a baby turtle that crawled all over my friend Amanda, spilt nail polish remover on my laptop and killed it, sent it off to get fixed, found out my step dad lost his job and found out mom had to have surgery, got promoted at Phoster Club as a 1 year trainer, went to the tour concert, went to the dorm floor party, went to Lemon Lake Park where I fell off a tire swing and attended a baseball game and predicted who was going to win a senior award (and was right!) and ate lunch and went on a hike to find a huge frog and a trash can that said no littering with a Pepsi bottle sitting right next to it (rather floating next to it... it was swampy land), rode a water bike on the college lake, got a nasty sun burn that people called a farmers tan, found out mom's surgery went fine, took finals and passed them all, saw some good friends graduate from college, stayed for a week to clean, moved to a new dorm floor for the week, got a new watch battery, went through free piles, got free stuff, tried on free formals with a fur vest that didn't match, took pictures of the silliness, put random things on my temporary roommates back while she was sleeping and filmed it, burned lots of CD's packed, came home, drank lots of Cherry Lemon Sun Drop, got a new watch band, helped with VBS, got my computer back, and got on like crazy.
Now finally I've caught you up! Wow I did a lot of stuff in a year. And trust me that doesn't even scratch the surface of what all I did. Next week I'll be helping with camp. My stalker will be there... yay... not! After that I don't know what I'm going to do! I will try to put up pictures of significant events that I listed. And now my hands are about to fall off so I'm gonna sign off for now!

  • Air conditioning, tour CD's and iPods

Random title I know. It's the first 3 things that came to my mind. Our A/C has been broke for the past week. I live in NC and it's in the 80's here and I have been living off fans instead of A/C and it has been killing me. I'm very sensitive to heat and humidity and I pass out more easily than your average person. But the A/C is fixed now!

I have been listening to Hyles-Anderson's 2008 tour CD so much that I got tired of it and I'm listening to some of my other music. I've only had the CD since May 18th and I've probably listened to it 100 times already. I listened to it over and over and over yesterday on my iPod cause I was cleaning my room. (I'm still not completely unpacked. I have way too much junk.)

Speaking of iPods, I used to hate the stupid things. Then I got one and I loved it. I think I was just mad that I couldn't have one. Immature I know. Usually when something becomes a trend I automatically hate it. Except for hoodies... I love hoodies.  Sorry for rambling... back to my iPod now. I won my iPod at work but I thought I was getting fired. This lady told me to go to the boss' office and I thought I was going to get fired because he hardly calls someone to his office unless they are in trouble. I went back there and one of the managers led me in his office. She seemed persistent and pushy. Then when I got in there I thought I was going to be sick because if I got fired I was going to have to go home because I wouldn't be able to pay my school bill. Instead of getting yelled at, the boss said "You won". My facial expression went from  to . Then the manager said "You won the iPod!" as she said that she placed a tiny plastic container in my hand with a tiny metal device. I was speechless at first. Then I said "Are you serious?!" The boss said "Yes". I said "Are you kidding?!?!" The boss said "Nope". Another person who was in the office said "Someone has GOT  to get a picture of her face." I was led out of the office in shock. I'm guessing my face looked like this . The manager told all my coworkers that I had won. It was really cool. They took a picture of me with the manager and my coach (supervisor) but they didn't give me a copy so my friend took a picture of me with the iPod. I was still in shock in this picture.

  • Home again!

Wow it has been AGES since I got on here. I was kept extremely busy at Hyles-Anderson! Between classes, chapel, work, church and my ministry I had a pretty full plate. It's good to get home and relax some but I actually do miss it there already lol. I learned a lot there and made lots of friends. I love the environment at the college. Although getting used to the north was not easy it made me appreciate the south's nice weather and people that I can understand when they talk. I also highly respect telemarketers now because I know what they go through. I could tell you plenty of Americall stories but I won't cause I could go on all day. It's also nice to have my own room again where I don't disturb anyone with snoring (just kidding I don't really snore) I had a roomie that did but she was only my roomie half the year. I have lots of pics from college and will try to put some in my album thingy. I find it funny that I'm still not completely unpacked. It's a lot of work plus I have to get rid of some stuff while I do it. I'm not a person who likes to get rid of stuff. I'm what you'd call a packrat. Wonder if there's any blogrings for that. (note to self: must investigate) I do have 1 important prayer request... that I can find a summer job! Next year I don't want to have to work as much at Americall. Are there any fellow HAC'ers out there? Anyone interested in going to HAC? If you are looking into going there let me know because the college is starting a new thing called the Jericho Plan where you get free tuition also free room and board for your first 2 years of college. I highly recommend HAC. If you're really serious about serving God you need to at least apply there. It's a great place to be! Anywho enough commercial for now.

  • In IN!

Well I've finally made it to Hyles-Anderson College in IN! I love it here! The campus is beautiful and the people are so nice! But more importantly than that I feel my walk with God is better than before! We had camp week last week and I was on the Pitbulls team. Our colors were orange and white and we got 2nd place out of 8 teams for the week. I really enjoyed it! The ministry I joined here is called Phoster Club. It's a ladies soulwinning group. We go soulwinning on Saturdays and I won 1 to the Lord today!  If you have any questions about HAC feel free to comment!

  • Me 9 days later...

Wow! It's been a while since I typed in here. Satan had been trying my patience but I've been fighting him off. I'm leaving for college in 6 days... I can't believe it. I've been going through stuff and trying to pack. The kittens are well. Lucky has been doing good and healing. Basically these last few days I'm saying good-bye to everyone. My Sunday school class surprised me yesterday with a little party and a card. It was so sweet of them. I'll get on here and update as much as possible. It looks like the first week I will be too busy to get on but once things settle down I will.
